This show brought together works produced over a seven year period, none of them had been shown previously in La Paz. The exhibition titled Presente, brought forth a variety of subject matters found in the artist’s work. These included fragility and memory, the temporal nature of the body, the interdependence between individual and collective identity and rituals around loss. From objects produced with organic materials such as fruit peels and hair, to pieces made with silversmithing techniques, each work is a reflection of an inhabited space that is at once private and shared, quotidian yet historical, direct yet complex.
